With over 35 years of experience in the mental health and rehabilitation sectors, Keith Lindsay has held a range of roles spanning frontline service, leadership, and professional training. His career has focused on supporting individuals with complex needs through direct care, education and advocacy. Keith has led and contributed to numerous educational initiatives aimed at professionals, families and individuals with special needs, with a focus on developing effective support strategies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Brain Injury Association and is a past president of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors (OACYC).His previous work includes collaboration with local Brain Injury Associations across Simcoe, Muskoka, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie. Keith remains committed to education in the field, continuing to teach and mentor Child and Youth Care students at Ontario community colleges.

Sean St. Amand is a compassionate and experienced rehabilitation professional dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by acquired brain injuries, developmental disabilities and physical challenges such as stroke, spinal cord injuries and amputations. At Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services Inc., Sean helps clients navigate the emotional and behavioural impacts of trauma, providing support that is respectful, individualized and rooted in each person’s real-world environment. With a background in social services, Sean has worked across not-for-profit organizations, residential programs, schools, youth justice and community-based rehabilitation. His collaborative approach and strong network of community resources enable clients to make meaningful progress in their recovery journeys. Sean also serves on the Board of Directors for Camp Dawn, a specialized camp for adults living with the effects of acquired brain injury — an extension of his commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and long-term recovery. Outside of work, Sean is a devoted husband and proud father of three. His family life continues to inspire his empathetic approach and deep understanding of the importance of resilience, connection and care.

Wendy is the Director of Services covering the London, Elgin, Kitchener, Guelph, Perth and Grey/Bruce regions, with over 35 years of experience in the legal and rehabilitation sectors. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Brain Injury Association of London and Region and co-lead the Oxford County Brain Injury Support Group. Her passion lies in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma or injury, helping them navigate recovery and regain quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys sports, board and card games and spending time with her family — who mean the world to her. Her dog, Milo, is not just her office buddy, but a constant source of joy and comfort.

Jon brings a wealth of experience to his role as Services Director, drawing from his background as a rehabilitation support worker and a special needs educator. With a deep commitment to client-centred support, Jon emphasizes the importance of building strong, collaborative relationships with support team members to ensure effective service delivery. A key part of Jon’s approach involves engaging in personal consultations to identify and understand each client’s unique needs and challenges. He is actively involved in every stage of support planning from assessment to implementation and management to ensure that treatment plan goals are personalized and adaptable over time. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Jon is an advocate for individuals with brain injuries. As a board member of the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton, he provides leadership and is involved in the planning and organization of community-based fundraising initiatives. His work helps to raise awareness, supports advocacy and expands resources for those impacted by brain injuries in the local community. Jon’s hands-on experience, planning skills and commitment to community engagement makes him a trusted leader in the support services field.

Nakema has over 15 years of extensive experience providing therapy to individuals with diverse and complex psychiatric, behavioural, functional, psychosocial, addictions and physical needs as a result of a brain injury or other serious trauma. She brings a clients-first focus into the analysis and advocacy aspects of her work and into her role as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Rehab Alliance (ORA). Since becoming an active member of the ORA Nakema is one of the founding members, and has been instrumental in establishing the ORA Black Network. She is also a member of the Board’s Advocacy Committee (Government Relations) and plays a key role in the ORA’s network of non-regulated members (Rehab Therapist, Personal Support Workers). Nakema is an active member of her community, including volunteering at her children’s school presenting for Black History Month, an active member of the Board of Director’s for her children’s daycare and active member on the parent counsel.

Cynthia Sprigings has over 20 years of experience in mental health, child welfare and community rehabilitation. She has had the opportunity to work on teams in educational, hospital, residential and community settings with individuals of all ages. Cynthia is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Society of Toronto. She is an active board member of several community-based organizations and continues her involvement in Canada’s national youth program.

With over 40 years of unwavering commitment to the field of social services and rehabilitation, Leslie has built a career grounded in compassion, leadership and advocacy. Early in her journey, she founded and operated her own rehabilitation company, providing vital support to individuals navigating complex recoveries. In 2013, she returned to Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services Inc., where she currently serves as the Service Director for Durham Region, York Region, the Kawartha Lakes Region and all of Eastern Ontario. Leslie has dedicated her professional life to supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, physical trauma, mental health challenges and those involved in the justice system. Her approach combines deep clinical insight with a profound understanding of each client's unique journey, guiding countless individuals toward recovery and reintegration. Beyond her direct service work, Leslie has served on numerous boards and has played an active role in shaping community-based rehabilitation initiatives. Her influence extends across the regions she supports, consistently championing programs that uplift and empower. Based in Durham Region, Leslie balances her professional life with a rich personal one as a proud mother and grandmother of three.
